Recently I had no internet connection for almost a week except for when I was able to get online with my phone. Surfing the internet with my phone was not fun at all. The screen was too small, it moved too slow and it was very difficult to type on.
But in my time without the internet two main things came to my mind
- How strong is my connection to God?
- When that connection is broken what lengths am I willing to go to to get that connection up and running?
John 15: 1- 5 NLT
“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.
He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
I have to choose daily to be connected to Jesus. Without that connection I am like a dead branch which can never bear fruit. But I do want to bear fruit! I want to stay connected to Him always.
