Hold up the Mirror

Being in a family is like constantly holding up a mirror. You can’t help but see your faults.

This is even more so when you have children- you definitely can’t help but see yourself reflected in them.

Genesis 5:3
When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he [b]became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth.

The things that annoy the not about our children are most often things that we also do. The things that we get most annoyed by with our spouses are the things that definitely need cleansing out of us.

Lord I thank you for the mirror that is my family. Daily I am made to see my faults- in my children and how I react to my family in situations. Cleanse all of these bad traits and habits from me. Amen
