Negotiation time came. The CEO of a large multinational company sat, along with the legal team and other senior executives of the company seeking to take over.

At the end of that meeting, the document was signed.

SOLD! And for $1.

Adam was the CEO of the human race. The choice that he made was for the entire human race.

Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Roman 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

When Adam sinned, everyone sinned. This meant that everyone born to Adam would be sinners and their children would also be sinners. So the entire human race is a race of sinners.

Sometimes it is hard to imagine that such an adorable little baby, newly born, is a sinner. We see them perfect, looking so innocent.

But, as that little baby grows, they throw tantrums, the scratch, hit, bite. All these are signs that they weren’t free from Adam’s choice to sin.

Adams decision was complete and all encompassing.

All are sinners.

And if all are sinners, then all would have the consequence of death hanging over their heads.

Sometimes it is hard to imagine that our CEO Adam sold the human race, and so cheaply at that. Selling out the human race just took one choice to go against God. Buying back the human race would cost way more than it was sold out for.

This is the nature of some transactions. Once the deal has been made, trying to revert it costs far more than it took to make that wrong deal in the first place.

As a result of Adams choice, a greater choice came in-that choice was the choice of God to save sinners and buy back all that Adam had sold.
