The Cross of Christ

Today, many people have recognized the crucifixion of Jesus.
But, what is so significant about the death of Christ?

What Christ’s death has done is give pardon to all mankind.

We were all lost in sin. But, God sent His Only Begotten Son to die in our place.

2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

That means, that we were given pardon.
It means that we were given life, and that life is the very life of God!

1 John 5:12 ESV
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

When we think about the Cross of Christ, it should cause us to realize that

an infinite value was placed on us when we were all broken and shattered by sin.

Christ died for us, and as us, so that we do not have to die eternally.

Praise God for His wonderful love!

Oh what a love that reached down to the lowest of lows to rescue us!
