Love Conquers All

Love conquers all, even when love seems to be at a disadvantaged. Christ overcame sin in sinful fallen flesh. Christ won the victory over sin living life just as we lived. He didn’t have a sinless flesh that made it impossible for Him to sin. If that were the case then we could say that we have to face more than He did. But, Christ came in sinful flesh, just like you and I, and conquered sin!

How did He do it? Christ won the victory by submitting to His Father.

Hebrews 5:7-9
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Christ took on sinful nature and did what seemed impossible- He overcame sin!

We too can overcome sin as Christ did. We too can live a perfect life as Christ did when we allow Him to live through us.

1 Peter 4:1-2
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

We are not hopeless and helpless in this life when we have Jesus. Oh no! When we have Christ we are MORE than conquerors!

Romans 8:31-39
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It isGod that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Horrible things may happen to us. We might suffer persecutions beyond all that we could imagine, but nothing will be able to separate us from Christ as long as we stay submitted to Him.

Not I but Christ!

Let Christ live out the victory He won at Calvary in our lives.

What victory!

1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The love of God lead Christ to the cross to save us from sin. Christ defeated the devil and sin at the cross by His love. We too can and will defeat sin by that same love!
